Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is the Mexican American sportscaster. She currently works as an ESPN sportscaster. ESPN and is an anchor of SportsCenter as well as hosting SportsNation. The first time she worked at ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a journalist on television. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been for a long time, starting at her age of nine. This skill has helped her get her first position at Univision, Miami. She could work alongside national producers on shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. In St. Petersburg, she was later recruited as a reporter by the CBS station as a sports journalist. In 2009, she relocated from Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where she began her news reporting at KNVO TV 48 Univision. Reports on her show covered immigration issues as well as drug trafficking and various other topics on the Texas as well as the Mexico border. Additionally, she worked as the Spanish reporter on the newscast at 5 p.m. and anchor and reporter for the newscast from 9 p.m. on English and also a Spanish reporter at 10 p.m. Also, she was often required to act as an anchor for sports and weather. She then anchored and reported for Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was given more responsibilities. In addition, she served as an anchor on sports for Primer Impacto, a magazine show on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents are originally native to Veracruz Mexico. They eventually settled in Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November in 1985. She has an older sister. In 1992, the family settled in Miami following the move out of Mexico into the US. The couple divorced shortly thereafter and, in 1995, she married a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. In the course of a family holiday in Ohio, younger Collins had taken a position along with her sister. Still a senior in high school but knowing exactly what she would like to accomplish for her life, Antonietta went to her local University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her requirements. It turned out that she loved the campus and that they had the major she was looking for. After finishing high school, she made the decision to attend the University to pursue a degree with Media Studies. Her relationship lasted for a while with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the director of WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was a member. He encouraged her to have confidence and also his love for journalism deeply influenced her. She was determined to fulfill his standards and never failed him.
